Have to decide today what gets left behind. Whatever it is will inevitably be the lens I most need.

Tsk Gwyn - that's not fair - when they run out of room we are expected to carry their surplus stuff
The number of times I was asked to slip something in my pocket for him - 'cos he'd no room for it and it couldn't be left behind

Went to Tesco's yesterday to replenish my beer stocks
Had to walk past the computer section and noticed that they had
offers on quite a lot of portable USB 3 drives
Came away with three Hitachi (HGST) Touro Mobile Pro 1TB's at £40
each. They also had the 500GB's at £30 each. Inside is a top
laptop 2.5" 7200rpm drive worth probably £50. Hitachi are the
most reliable drives you can buy. I might strip one out and put
it in a PC and use the other two for backups. Worth buying
even at the full price due to speed and reliability.
The PRO models have a 2 year warranty.
3GB Free Cloud BUP if required.
They come with a standard USB 3 450mm lead and you can
buy a Belkin 1M lead on ebay for £6. Cheaper leads such
as the Samsung one cost about £3.
No power cable needed it comes through the USB 3 or
USB 2 connection.
REVIEW
Summary: "...not only the fastest USB 3.0 PHD available
in the market but it also comes at a low cost and
that's why it gets our Platinum award."
Other makes such as Toshiba were also on offer.
The Tesco beer offers were OK as well

Don't tempt me. I suspect the likelihood of a divorce after 5 weeks together would increase exponentially if I decided to leave the gear at home.Of course you could always just go on holiday and buy postcards when you get there
Anyway, I shall be closing down the old computer soon ready for tomorrow's really early start, so I shall say ttfn. See you in a bit over 5 weeks, unless I acquire a computer somewhere on my travels.

Another weekend, more beer and now the government want to give pills to people who drink more than three pints a night..
...WHY!!!!
Don't they know there's a brewing industry struggling out there?

Well it would certainly solve a problem Stuey - I probably wouldn't be allowed on the plane!
Have to decide today what gets left behind. Whatever it is will inevitably be the lens I most need.
