Believe me - last night's meal was great
I gave in and brought the Lappy with me - it fits into my camera bag so I'm working on it as normal as someone is out in the garden in the sun cutting the grass
I'll be heading to the airport in 2 hours - this has been fun - though all our plans went up in smoke thanks to various little and not-so-little snags.
I missed a seaside trip - but got to Maynooth instead Yesterday's proposed and indeed planned all day trip never even started - knew that was going to happen after I arrived on Tuesday

Glad everyone's having/had good breaks.
I was amazed to find that net books seem to no longer be available. As a gap filler between tablets with no storage and full lap tops they are very useful.
But I've been looking for an upgrade and I'm struggling to find anything with the smaller dimensions and storage, loads of tablets, but nothing else.
Oh well, time for another beer, did I mention that I'm on Black sheep tonight?

I know what you mean about netbooks HG. Blinking nuisance as tablet can't do it all. I had an ASUS T100 Transformer with an extra hard drive in the keyboard for a few days, but I just didn't get on with it. I really would like a netbook, but despite assorted announcements of new ones coming they never seem to appear. At least not on this side of the Atlantic, and at certainly not at a price I can afford.
Barrie, here it is pretty common to find cannabis growing in the middle of maize fields. It is often a race to see who harvests it first - the ones who planted it illegally in the field or the farmer in whose field it is hiding. If the latter then it gets harvested with the maize and you get very happy cows.

Having resurrected Mum's taxi service for a day, ferrying kids for the grandson's party we have just enjoyed what is probably our last BBQ of the year.
Eight 7 and 8 year old kids went to the party, and none of them got wet. They went sailing in Optimists had had a terrific time. A couple now want to learn to sail.
No back to sorting out stuff for Wednesday.

Your meal sounds terrific TT.
His Nibs, last of the great romantics, asked me to marry him in a Pizza Hut one lunch time.
I spent yesterday evening baking a chocolate cake with my grandson, for his 8th birthday today. No pressure there then. I will find out if it was successful or not in a couple of hours .
5 more days until I fly away. Haven't done anything about packing yet. Still not decided what lenses to take, apart from the wrong ones that is.
I used to take a netbook away with me, until I spilled red wine on it. . I got a secondhand replacement but it was so slow it was painful, so His Nibs converted it to Ubuntu. I don't like Ubuntu, especially now there is the big gaping hole in it. I guess my photos will stay on the SD cards, and surfing will be on the phone, when I can find free WiFi, which means you will have 5 weeks respite from me, since this site is rubbish on my mobile phone.
