The finest pint of Guinness I ever tasted was in a pub in Limerick, only had time for two then back on the bus to Shannon Airport and an early night. That was around 1980. I wonder if that pub is still there

I was getting into my car today and this bloke said "Can you give me a lift?"
So I said, "Sure, you look great, the world's your oyster. Go for it!"

Sounds like a Tommy Cooper gag

After 4 days of babysitting an incredibly whingy 6 month old and a 4 year old we are knackered more the missus than me as I got to go to work - I think she is looking forward to going back to work tomorrow

And then she buys a car from her friend (for a very good price ) which needs some work, it was delivered tonight and I have been outside until 10pm resealing the sun roof (not resorted to mastic yet:lol, polishing up the headlamp covers and fixing bits of exterior trim - only little bits and bobs

And all that is hopefully left is to change the rear brakes, rear wheel bearings and then change the cam belt, water pump and tensioner that's my Sunday spoken for - maybe then I can get back to togging

Moan over hopefully

Are you sure her friend didn't pay her to take it off her hands

I hand't though of that Stan

She know's I like working on cars so perhaps it has been done as a favour

To be honest the work should not be too difficult so it should be sorted very soon

It's not a motorcycle rebuild of HG proportions

Just spotted a book which I had the idea for and illustrated for sale on amazon for an eye watering £999.00! Might be a typo.

It was a bad experience! I directed and produced a BBC TV series of the same title and sold the idea for the book to an Edinburgh publisher. Despite making images with carefully corrected verticals with a 28mm Pentax Shift they managed to print many of them squint and all of them a bit flat.

The day before publication the publisher went 'bust' and the book was remaindered so no money for me or Andy. They, of course reopened the next day in the same office with the same staff and a very slightly different name having walked away from their debts.

I see there are a lot of copies advertised for £0.01. Is it a "Penny Dreadful" then ?

Fortunately neither of my offspring are in a hurry to inflict that on the world...
