I used to have a full marine coral reef fish tank set up and its such a balanced set up that if distrurbed and one of the tank parametres is adjusted then it can crash a whole tank and kill off all livestock including corals (going on holiday was a nightmare and headache!) Seeing this I can only imagine the destruction that has been caused to the seabed and the sealife. BP as far as I can tell are doing nothing to clear it up and are now relying on the US government

What the media haven't really jumped upon is the fact that the US Government forced BP to use rigs developed by an outside contractor (of the US Government's choice) rather than let BP use their own tried and tested equipment. Now this equipment has gone belly up, the US Government are trying to pin all the blame solely on BP. Now I admit that this disaster doesn't appear to have been well managed, but had BP been allowed to use their kit from the start, this might never have happened. I mean you wouldn't hire a wedding photographer then tell him what brand camera he had to use, would you?

Also, and perhaps unsurprisingly, little scrutiny has been placed on Halliburton, the firm who were actually doing the drilling (and cementing) at the time the problem occurred. A quick glance at their Board of Directors past and present will probably tell you why...

My Xbox died last night with two red lights. Overheating they say. Let in cool then its OK for 30 mins. Its worked for two years in the same place without a problem. Fix kit on its way from Ebay. Already taken it to bits. Fans OK. As well as playing games I use it to look at photos on the telly via a card reader.

Two red lights should be solvable. Three and it is back to Germany for repair...

Hopefully BP are insured with American insurance companies, so the wicked Yanks will end up with the bill at the end of the day.
