OK, so today went better than expected, most of the bits are now bolted on and, shock horror!! the electrics seem to be OK!
A quick kick with a pair of spark plugs resting on the cylinder heads produced sparks...
.......it lives Doctor Frankenstein, it lives!!
Well, almost, I need to clean out the carbs and trawl ebay for some cables....

Oh yes! I also need to sort out the exhausts, but that will be some time next week...

You`re going to be spoilt for choice soon HG. Beemer or Yam! Just taxed the Enfield tonight, managed about 80 miles last year.

Dunno about beer - I'm drinking a little whisky at the moment.
Has an e-mail from a friend which frightened the wits out of me - he said he was writing to me and the last sentence of that was 'Please don't hate me "
OK English is not his first language and I then waited and waited and waited - for over an hour for the aforesaid e-mail .
Dear heavens - the thoughts that were going through my mind
Eventually it arrived and I heaved a sigh of relief as I read it - and then told him off soundly for frightening me like that .
My drink was / is needed

Did you know that 90% of Harley Davidson's are still on the road...
....the other 10% made it home in one piece!
They're strange stable mates Beemer and Smokie, one a fire-breathing wheelie popping race bred machine, the other a docile long distance tourer.
How I ended up with such disparate machines still amazes me.

Not that warm here, but pleasant enough to sit outside with a glass of something cold.
