You know somethings wrong when an urge isn't suppressed by your better instincts( for that read Mrs HG!!)

I said I felt like re-building my old bike...

...she said OK ( sort of)..

......so now I'm going to engage in combat with my old Yamaha RD400f. Here's a stolen, sorry, copied image from a very good decal site...

I hope to get her looking something like she used to...

Question is HG is just how big is the task at hand:

Is it just cosmetics or are you up against having the frame powder coated, rebuilding the engine and gear box or worse finding electrical faults
K10D, K5 plus plenty of clueless enthusiasm.

She was stripped for a frame paint 26 years ago..

...I have all the bits (I hope) and a few spare so she should be up and running fairly easily..

....I'll let you know when it's running...

......or what's gone wrong...

My old email address has been around since nearly the dawn of email. It regularly gets email from itself, all spam. No malware or infections involved. It is actually pretty easy for someone to send mail as if from someone else - witness all those phishing mails.

There seems to be a lot less spam nowadays. I thinking arresting that Dutch bloke in Spain (or was it Portugal) has made a huge difference.
I thought the Dutch to be such law abiding people....

Retired at last - now all that time for photography - you would think: wink:

Does anyone else take a camera with them up to bed and place it on their bedside cabinet so it's one of the 1st things they see when they wake up?

This is my camera. There are many like it, but this one is mine.
One day you'll find, 10yrs have got behind you.

Many years ago I had a friend who, after a drinking session, always took a can of beer into the bedroom. He never drank it but said it was a comfort knowing it was there

I don't even know where my camera is at the moment, never mind take it to bed with me.

So much for no spam - 10 so far this morning on a gmail account only used for forums.

Mrs HG must want something, probably expensive. Either that or she's trying to avoid you.

Now back to the painting.

Went on the guided tour of the Poison Garden at Alnwick. I don't think I'll ever garden again unless wearing thick gloves. The number of common plants that can kill was really amazing, be very very careful when eating salad

Is this some sort of Northumbrian Darwinian benefits reduction scheme?

Make a poisonous garden and see how many people get eaten by the plants!

Had to remove wild strawberries from a school landscape scheme I was working on; risk of 'anaphylactic shock' if the kids ate them, according to the head teacher. In the end we just clad the entire school yard with cotton wool, with some yellow signs saying 'Danger! Soft Surface!'
