Amazon or Jessops?

I have seen the Pentax K30 on Amazon at a reasonable price of £400.65 from a company called Inkubus Bargains, and also on Jessops website at £399.00 (I would have to pay £449.00 first, and apply for the £50 cash back which would take it back to £399.00.

Would you say I am better off getting the camera from Amazon, or Jessops?

Sorry to ask. It’s a lot of money to me, and I would like to know what would be the right move? Thanks.

SRS offer free shipping to forum members, you get a free battery and can still claim the cashback.

Oh that's good, how long does that offer last?

No idea, you'll have to phone SRS and ask them. If it were me though, I'd be hotfooting it to the phone to order. Strike while the iron is hot!

The cashback is until January 15th. Another plus of buying from SRS is 2 years guarantee, and their superb service and help offered.

Just let them know your username on the forum when you order to get your free postage.

Have you ordered anything from them, and did they deliver OK?

I buy almost all my stuff from SRS. If you want reassurance this forum is littered with support for their exemplary service.

I suppose you could count out Amazon on 'tax avoidance' reasons to help narrow it down.

It could do with optimising. I'd like photos in their used section too.Perhaps they are too busy selling the camera gear?

Yes, I bought, amongst other things, my K-5 from them. When it had to go back because of sensor staining they were brilliant.

I've met Chris and he really is a nice bloke, as is everyone there from what I saw - the guy who helped my husband (don't remember his name:blush was very patient and helpful too.

Can't say I've noticed that Stan. Even before my super-fast connection it loaded OK for me.

I've always found it slow to load and it's worse out of hours. They often take days to answer emails too to such an extent I've purchased elsewhere.
I have purchased from them by having Mrs Snap telephone and their service has been ok.

Comments on the Radio about this this morning - interviewee said they'd boycott Amazon, Google and Starbucks but would find Amazon the most difficult to avoid as they had a Kindle... talk about a captive audience... just like SRS customers

Well, after the aggro I've had with Amazon and my K-r I will not be spending another penny with them.

They seem to be of the opinion that the 'Sales of Goods Act' and European legislation does not apply to them.
