AF280T Film Speed Setting

Hi Baz,
The film speed setting on the back of the flash tells you what aperture to set on the lens when you are using the flash in non TTL mode ie with the red or green dot selected instead of auto. In TTL mode, the LX turns the flash off when sufficient light has been reflected from the film plane so as long as the camera is set to the right film speed then Yoda says "matters it not what setting on flashgun is"
Regards
Kim

When using my AF280T (in TTL mode) with my LX, is it absolutely necessary to set the film speed on the back of the flash? Surely, as long as the correct speed is set on the camera, the TTL flash stuff should do it's stuff and control the flash output accordingly?
Help me, Obi Wan, you're my only hope
