Yes, Sterling has lost some ground against the Dollar. Fortunately I paid for 12 months, so the new rate will be whatever it is at renewal date. Hopefully the currency may be doing better again by then.

Fortunately because you get a free Portfolio Web-site with your CC subscription I've just cancelled my website hosting package saving £92/year. Easy come..... easy go

No politics on PU though, so reasons are neither here nor there and always a matter of opinion anyway.

Oil prices have gone up everywhere. It isn't unique to the UK.
Photoshop CC is €12.09 (10.40 pounds) a month here, without a price rise, so I don't think you can complain to much.

Just checked the price for PS+LR CC in Norway, and we get squeezed harder; NOK117.50 equals about £11.40.

This is currently the state with most stuff, we have to get used to it, as upsetting as it could be. I guess some people would have different priorities and as such won't be able to keep up with the price increase.

Stop paying and you lose stuff, as happened to someone in my photo group. Better to get the one-off purchase of Lightroom or something similar and spend your subs on a decent magazine instead. With the money saved you can afford to replace/update every couple of years and not be held to ransom by a corporation. Always have a dedicated hard drive for photos as well as a cloud for the same reason.
Just checked, Lightroom 6 is on Amazon for less than £100 so that's 10 months of Photoshop.

Exactly the conclusion I eventually arrived at the other day - installed LR6 on my laptop yesterday for a one-off cost and now it's up to me when/if I "upgrade" - the monthly charge may not sound excessive, but if you don't need all the features (and it is a well featured package admittedly) then over the course of time it will be rather expensive.
