Adaptall 2 PKA mount instructions?

If you're mounting it in exactly the same way as you are on the 90mm, then I would say it must be a faulty aperture on the 70-210. Check the two lenses together, without a mount on, are there any differences in the look, and feel, of the aperture actuator?

I'm trying to remember the best way of fitting the mount - I don't have an AD2 lens anymore. I do recall sometimes getting the lugs on the side to match up with the corresponding notches on the lens could be a problem, usually sorted by either opening the aperture up to maximum or closing to minimum before trying to fit the mount, I can't remember which now though.
When you say you're having trouble mounting it, I'm not sure how you mean, so I'm now going to talk to you like you know nothing!
Have you properly lined up the green dots on mount and lens?
Have you properly lined up the lugs on the outside of the mount to the notches on the lens?
Does the aperture close down when you press in the actuator on the lens? (Without the mount fitted).

I read that its best to fit the mount wide open, I am lining up the green dots and the lugs click into place.
The actuator on the mount is not operating the one on the lens (or the teleconverter when attached to the 90mm).
The lens itself: if I press the actuator when the aperture ring is halfway, the iris will close half way and if I press it when in A mode it will close all the way and when I release it will open.
It works exactly the same as my 90mm ... just not when I attatch the mount.
It really is doing my head in.

Sounds very odd. Lenses sound as if they're okay from your aperture checks.
The only thing I can see that might be the cause is the extra little arm bit on the actuator of the 90mm. This is showing some wear, so would imply that it's being touched by the mount. The other lenses don't have this bit, so is this the bit of the actuator that's actually being moved?
Perhaps your mount needs adjusting slightly, so the bit that moves the actuator is moved further out towards the edge? Perhaps you could photograph the inside of the mount, to show what bit pushes the actuator in the lens.
Here's what I mean about wear on the 90mm:

SORTED !!!!
After you pinted out the wear I had a closer look and then at the mount.
Went to Ebay and managed to find someone selling a PKA mount (expensive little buggers arent they) who had photographed both sides in a decent size.
From there I could see the actuator on mine was at a different angle so pushed it back at touch and it closed the iris a bit on the new lens, so then pushed it all the way back and now everything is working fine.
Many thanks for your time and effort Daniel.
Appreciate it

No problem! Glad we got it sorted in the end.
Ah, that's given me a warm glow.

I have a 90mm Macro f2/8 72B that came with one on it and works fine but I cannot get it working with my 70-210 SP f3/8 that came this morning.
For some reason it will just not work the aperture lever, therefore the lens is always wide open.
I have spent about 3 hours this morning trying to get it working and decided I had better ask here now before the lens ends up in the TV screen.
Thanks.
