A perfect marriage......

Don't know if anyone noticed, but finally the two things we love most about Pentax are joined to the hip.

SRS Microsystems is now the Official Shop Sponsor of Pentax User.
I hope this marriage will last forever, and I guess none of the members will object to this eternal commitment.

Martin.
Best regards,

Martin.

It seems to have been a natural process driven by the members and the good service given by Chris.

Well done Chris!

To be honest, it's just nice to find a supplier who is a) knowledgeable about the Pentax range and actually stocks most of it and b) gives a decent price on them! Service is cracking too!

Well, they can't be that good, no bloody K-7 stock yet when the rest of the world has it!

Seriously though, logical move, just can't understand why it took so long!

I can see no point at all in promoting just one mail order dealer. If Pentax are in any way connected with this they will have serious problems with their other dealers and even outlets refusing to stock their stuff. Pentax may as well sell direct and forget about selling through shops, but mail order is not the way to promote photographic gear.

What's needed is more Pro dealers no more than 25 miles from everyone in the country.

It's a shame SRS aren't the import agent for Pentax, they seem to know more and turn things around quick enough to do it.
Cheers, HG

K110+DA40, K200+DA35, K3 and a bag of lenses, bodies and other bits.

Mustn't forget the Zenits, or folders, or...

I couldn't either without a wholesale price, so hardly a fair comment.

No dealer in their right mind would order cameras without knowing the price and discount structure plus as is often the case with a new launch extended credit to tempt them into taking more stock. Suppose you order X cameras and then find that if you'd ordered another one you would have got an extra 5% off all of them.

Mathers and other dealers have their prices sorted. Mathers price £1129 with Kit Lens and that's from a dealer who has remained loyal to Pentax since they (Pentax) first started selling cameras. Mathers have actually been selling cameras since 1900

shim[/quote]Excellent company, Mathers of Lancashire, spent thousands with them over the years, very friendly and good prices.

Bestcameras (aka Kamera, St. Helens) have fixed their price at £1230 for the K-7 body and lens plus about £50 worth of freebies thrown in.
