That's got three wheels so surely that makes it a trike? I wonder what they'd be like if saab built motorcycles?
It probably just about has the edge on mine in terms of acceleration and the ability to break sound barriers, but mine's a lot easier to park...

From a standing start, initial acceleretion on your car would be better. After about 100 kph, you'd swallow it's smoke (lots of it).

unlike my old fj1200....it's hard to keep the front wheel on the ground in a first gear roll on....
2nd and third are just a clutch pop away from seeing nothing but sky......
comparerd to the fj1200 though the fz1 does feel a little nervous at 220+km/hr......not scary, but less planted and stable....gets there faster though...
Damn!!!! when is it gonna be spring....
My life's goal is to not just get another speeding ticket, but actually have the cops throw my licence on the ground and shoot it with more holes than Bonnie and Clyde had together....

Oh we call those Ice tyres, I don't think they're available in the UK, and the price would be prohibitive anyway!Roscoe wrote:
What on earth are "Dubbed" tyres, never heard of such things?
Tyres with small steel dubs (a houndred per wheel). Wonderful to grip on icy roads. However, due to environmental problems (creating tar dust on dry roads, and extra wear on the tarmac), we are encouraged to switch to dub-free tyres. And believe me, the special soft-rubbered winter tyres provide exceptional good grip on slippery roads. What on earth are "Dubbed" tyres, never heard of such things?

Terje-l and Roscoe...
Soft compound winter tires...they are great on trucks, but impossible to find for sportbikes...sadly.
We don't call them "dubbed tires"....we call them studded. they're illegal (due to damage on road surfaces) in most of Canada. You can't buy em for motorcycles. But many ice racers make thier own by drilling knobby tires and screwing in screws or bolts and filing the ends sharp....sadly there isn't enough rubber in a sportbike tire to hold anything like that in.
I'll just have to wait another month....

niether would out accelerate my bike from 0 to 100 kms that's for sure.

If I put the old Cessna in a vertical nose dive, the acceleration will put your bike to shame.

I think we're gonna have to try that to be sure, this summer, when we come visiting you and Mac...niether would out accelerate my bike from 0 to 100 kms that's for sure.

Never throw down a challenge to an adrenaline junkie...lol
there is no such thing as losing if the goal is to get a rush before dying!

If you really want to have the ultimate adrenaline rush, I could push you out of the plane at 5000 ft. with no chute. Of course, it would likely be your last adrenaline rush, but some things are worth dying for!

Actually Yves, If you put your Cessna into ninety degree dive, it would accelerate at a little over 1G.
That's 0-60mph (0-96kph) in about three seconds.
A modern 600 is going to be up to that.

Add 325 h.p. to pull you down, and the wings will pull off in the pull out.
