A couple of shots with a 'new' 1.8/77 Ltd, mostly wide open on aperture priority. The first two are both shot through plate glass.

I'd originally bought this lens in 2003 but three years later circumstances forced a sale. I'm very glad to have one again.

B&W doesn't show this lens at its best. It really shines with colour.

The last picture certainly has potential, but I would crop it ruthlessly.

i agree might need some cropping ..but too much and you lose the effect that they are lost in a world of thier own amongst the crowds

Last one for me as well!....I'm with George on this one though!,a good crop is called for..I don't like the "Half people!" on the right hand side, they draw attention away from the central couple. It also looks washed out, more grey and white than black and white, bit more contrast methinks!

Thanks for your input, guys.

Yes, agreed, the body parts on the right are a distraction.

The tones look muddy on my computer here at work though they did look OK at home. I have to say I'm not in favour of the stark, harsh contrasts that many favour these days, but I still like a good glow in between the pure blacks and whites.

I'm borrowing a Spider next week and will review it then.
