60 - 250 mm or 300 mm ?

For general walking about, then the DA* 60-250 for the versatility.

Which to buy depends on your intended use. Mine was for birding so I chose the 300 (which works very nicely with a x1.4 or the AFA x1.7) ... but the 60-250 is definitely on my short list to buy in the not too distant future !

I now cannot make up my mind which to go for, so has any one else had the same quandry and can vouch for either lens?
