55-300 L at £137

Just noticed that Park Cameras have the L version, unboxed without a hood for £136.99. Presumably with a 2 year warranty as they are a Pentax pro dealer.

Tip for a bayonet hood - designed for the DA* 55mm, but I've been told it also fits the 55-300, and is cheaper than the 55-300 one:

Well, I have one of these lenses now and it's rather good. No need to be concerned about the relative cheapness of the L version.

Also got the above mentioned hood. Ironically (to use with a light lens), it's heavy for a plastic hood, but it's poshly lined with felt, as you might expect from a DA* product.
