1. Just because someone has an expensive camera doesn’t mean that they’re a good photographer.

2. Always shoot in RAW. Always.

Even if you just want a quick jpeg to upload to ebay? Why? Definitely not Always!

4. Photo editing is an art in itself.

Try photo editing a colour slide.


7. UV filters work just as well as lens caps.

But they don't stop the sun burning a hole in the viewfinder should the camera lens be left inadvertently pointing upwards.??


27. Always underexpose by 2/3rds of a stop when shooting in broad daylight.

Yes, the sun can go in!

What, even an out of focus shot of my feet taken by mistake??

I disagree with number 14.
I've learnt more from looking at and critiquing [sp?]others' work than by just randomly taking shots.

I liked the list but dont agree with 2, 4, 7, 9, 14, 16, 18, 21, 24, 27, 28, 36, 41, 43, 57, 60, 70, 79 and 82
