'Bracket' for flash

How about one of these?

Its probably going to be a bit unwieldy though - another approach would be to get a small lightweight stand and put the flash on that...

I modified an old speaker wall bracket arm ( any fairly light metal section would do )- just cut off a few bits, filed rough edges down and drilled some mount holes, pipe insulation material can be split and fitted on the bracket arm for comfort. I have a K20D plus grip and a Metz 54i mounted on this bracket. The bracket arm can easily be adjusted to suit any lens mounted on the camera by swinging it forward or back. Most of my macro shots are taken handheld with this rig. Cheers, Gary

If you don't fancy DIY I see Rocky cameras has quite a few different second hand brackets for £2-£5 (plus postage)
