Pentax DA* lenses for sale, DA*300, DA*60-250, DA*50-135

Can you disable the SDM on any of these lenses - and if so do they focus quicker? As far as I know its not possible. At least without fiddling contacts or something with a screw driver. Something I definitely wouldn't want to do.

Pentax DA* lenses for sale, DA*300, DA*60-250, DA*50-135

Yes, I agree. The IQ of these lenses is superb, but that alone doesn't justify me keeping them. I really haven't been using them and I am sure you will agree that its better they find a better home with someone who can put them to a better use. I will consider negotiating with someone who has a S...

Pentax DA* lenses for sale, DA*300, DA*60-250, DA*50-135

Just reading through some of your comments, and I have to ask the question, how p***ed off are you guys, after spending big bucks, sorry, pounds on a lens, only to find out it focusses slower than a wet week. Look, just get a nice little sigma 70-300 and stop whinging. You blokes have far too much ...

Pentax DA* lenses for sale, DA*300, DA*60-250, DA*50-135

Your doing the right thing. One reason I love my Sigma 70-200EX is that it can focus pretty fast. To keep glass that your not happy with, for whatever reason, will effect your results. I run other systems alongside my Pentax kit but never, NOT have a Pentax with me. Regards Gary, I have been run...

It would be great to be able to select screw drive in the menu just to compare. I suspect that it should be easily done but that Pentax might have other reasons for not making that feature available :? You can use them on the K10D in screw drive by flashing firmware back to 1.2 apparently.

Pentax DA* lenses for sale, DA*300, DA*60-250, DA*50-135

I rarely take pictures of fast moving things so I am not bothered by the speed of the DA* 50-135mm but I can fully appreciate it is very slow. The cheapo Tammy 70-300mm is much quicker, but a quite a bit noisier too. If I had 900 quid spare I'd have the 300mm off you but it is out of my range ri...

Macro rail focus adjuster

Hi Dave, The macro rail came pretty soon, and it was in a good shape - practically as new. I have a Novoflex rail, too, but it is adjustable in one direction only. So this Rokunar is a nice supplement. Thanks! Regards, Risto

Wanted Pentax -A SMC 50mm f1.2
