SMC Pentax 28mm F2
Sigma make a good and relatively compact 28/1.8 - the old manual focus version. Probably relatively cheaper and full frame to boot.

Well I sold it but the guy from Madrid returned it because there was dust in the focus screen which can't be removed as you cannot remove the screen to clean it so still available with dust on the screen :? Any reasonable offers. :wink: Jack.

I know where you are comming from Amin!.....I tried some in flight shots on Saturday, birds and dragonflies with the 300 it was hopeless...I gave up. I think Pentax need to really take up on this issue of focus speed, as it does limit things a bit!......Ken

Have to side with Amin on this. Quality lenses they most definately are, but the SDM motors are slow, and if you need / want fast focussing lenses, these, the 60-250 specifically, are not the ones to pick. In tests I have done it focuses faster via the screw drive on a K10 (FW V1.0) than it does...
