Samsung 12-24mm lens

Nine weeks ago I picked one of these up on my way through Heathrow before Amin cornered the market. In consultation with Amin I have a good idea what he sells them for (thanks Amin!)

Before I put this up for a straight sale (either here or on fleabay) I was wondering if anyone had something(s) of approximate equivalent value for a swap? The main bits of my gear are listed in the signature.

Needless to say it is a brand new lens (although in a tatty box) which has been out of the packet once and put on my K10D just to test it.

Cheers, Kris.

Lots of film bodies, a couple of digital ones, too many lenses (mainly older glass) and a Horseman LE 5x4.

I have one of those which I got in the great Jessops sell-off for about 1/10th I am expecting to get for this lens (and about half what most people pay for it)!

Kris, there was someone with a Limited lens who was willing to exchange with the 12-24. Let me see if I can dig out the PM, may be that is of interest to you, be right back

Kris, someone with Black 43 Ltd who was interested in the 12-24. If its something that you want to consider I will PM you his details, are you able to get PM easily? Are you back into civilization?

Many thanks for checking it out Amin, but I have already got one of those thanks to hefty's not very subliminal persuasion. Now if it was a 77mm Ltd...

If anyone has a K20D body they wanted to exchange, I would be interested in that.

Oh yes, and I am back in civilisation, if the wilds of rural Hertfordshire can be considered civilised.

Best wishes, Kris.

I haven't got a K20D to offer you but I do have a lovely Polaroid Pathfinder 120 Folding Land Camera. It'll work with a 5x4 back (with a simple conversion) and has a gorgeous Yashica Yashinon 127mm f/4.7 set in a Seikosha-SLV shutter that would work a treat on your Horseman.

It's due to go on eBay Tuesday evening otherwise. I'll even throw in a free Zeiss Nettar 6x6 MF folder...

Vert tempting Hefty, but on this occasion I think I will resist!

Cheers, Kris.

Can't say I blame you - I wouldn't make that swap either.

Still, if you want it anyway it's now on evilBay so feel free to bid

Maybe should sell for 472 pounds sterling as that's what the Pentax 12-24 sells for inc shipping to Qatar?

I am thinking that I owe you an appology Kris. Looking at my previous post, it was niether in my nor your interest for me to mention a lens price that is not available to others.

That it is not available (to most) is no excuse and I applogise. It will not happen again.
