Chasing Sunrise on the River Avon
Simplicity often rules - a lovely early sun as the dominant colour with the silhouetted grasses at the foreground complementing the soft, out of focus background - excellent 8) I might borrow that Lenny :)

More Mallards
Some super shots here, spot on focus - the single mallard in flight and the Swan pair are my favourites :)

More Mallards
Thanks Lenny. It was actually the swans I went to shoot. I was out on my bike and stopped off at the pond which is only a few minutes from home, and I spotted the swans starting to nest in the reeds, so decided to go back home and grab the camera. Typically, just as I left the house to go back we ha...

Pentax K-3iii test images
So it's clearly working OK. Any different from what you'd expect from, say, the original K3 with the same lenses in the same light? Nice pictures, irrespective of the camera! :D Steve High ISO images are much cleaner. 6,400 easily usable and that is as high as I tried. Much easier to focus m...

A Wren at Last!
Great shot Lubbyman, pose and isolation from the background . I have a pair of wrens in the back garden and so far they have defeated my efforts for a good photo.

A Classic K in the Garden
Spent a few minutes in the back garden using the Pentax K 30mm f2.8 this afternoon - It's a lens I've tentatively put up for sale as I have too many lenses around that focal length, plus I haven't used it for a while. But I'm not so sure now - it's such a pleasure to use, with its close focus cap...

First Time Out With The K3 III
Great shots but I have to say I looked back on your postings as I remembered the one you did when you got the K-3II and they are just as good. :D

Beetle
That's a loud pink back ground Don. That said, it does contrast well with the beetle. Best regards

Twisty tree
Thank you all for commenting - I'll try to go back and get something better out of those branches.

One week apart
I'd be happy to have either of them individually on my wall. :) But as a pair, they don't quite work for me. It's taken several looks over a couple of days to realise why. It's because the point of focus seems to have changed. My eye goes to the dandelion flower in the first, the blue flower (for...

One week apart
Thanks everyone for the comments :!: Steve - you're right of course, but there was no planning involved - just two individual shots that appealed at those moments. I always struggle to pick the right focus point with this type of image - I could of course stop down significantly (or "stack" :sh...

One flower, two lenses
I agree with LennyBloke, especially about dropping the exposure. You might get some of it back by reducing the highlights somewhat.

Couple of K3iii low light (theatre rehearsal) images
Used the K3iii for its first 'assignment' yesterday, coupled with the Sigma 17-70 2.8/4 C lens. These images were taken from a play rehearsal at the Abbey Theatre (St Albans), quite a testing environment. Lighting was muted and these images were both taken at ISO6400, in TAv mode (SS 1/60, Apertur...
