Classic MF camera shops online?

Know any reputable shops that stock h'blad, rollei, bronica, mamiya, etc online? (All I know, ffordes, whose selection drastically changed over the new year, and mwclassic, whose selection is also small at the moment, they focus more on leicas) Cheers, Rob

Thanks guys. Facinating. It looks a complicated beast. Yes! I did try it with odd results. What is concerting is that you have to remember after each shot to wind on. I think at least half of the shots were double exposed. Not sure I did anything right. The results are long in the bin. ...

OK guys, it's slowly coming back to me. I started my photography on the \Agfa Silette which had a similar method of setting the app and time. I guess the compartment on the left is for storing filters. The camera is in new condition. I don't think anyone has used this. I'm tempted to give it a...

Wants..tell me about it. The 300* is my most wanted. I have the 50-200mm but I need to go to 300. Idealy the 70-300 is mostly wasted. Better for me would be the 100-300. The lottery gave me £10 last Saturday..needed another two 00's and I would have been on to SRS pronto. If you didn't have ...

I will need to wear wellies in my back garden at the moment and the birds will need water skies to land. Do have a red sqirrel at the bird feeder, though. Strange how this critter doesn't know what a peanut is if it's in its case and prefers to do a houdini act to get into my sqirrel resistant bir...

Printing at home.

Unless you're looking for an A3 for professional use, Is there really any need for the expense of an A3 photo printer, as the outlay must be far more than getting shots blown up by a lab? Yes, for the same reason it was always better to have your own darkroom. You can adjust and repeat your prints ...

early 1980's featuring Professort John Hedgecoe

Hi I was watching today my old tape of "What a Picture" by John Hedgecoe and he took most of the pictures of the series with a Pentax SLR along with optics like the shift / till etc and was wondering what ever happened to Pentax with this sort of publicity. As well are the shift / till optics...

early 1980's featuring Professort John Hedgecoe

The Power zoom lenses require a body having the KAF2 mount to use the power zoom feature. The KAF2 mount has just inside the body. First introduced on the Z series of film cameras, you could set a start and end zoom setting and the camera sorted it out for you. That function is missing from new...

The impact the sensor size has on the lens

When reading the the question again how the lens would be on digital compared to on a 35mm format I began to calculate the DOF and discover it does make a diffrence. I will take the FA* 85mm f/1.4 and the DA* 55mm f/1.4 because of the smaller ASP-C sensor the DA* 55mm will have an angle of view a...

The impact the sensor size has on the lens

Since John and I went of topic in a thread lets continue here. The quotations of the post came from here after all. here is our conversation so far. This is a thing that's often misquoted, but smaller formats have more DOF for a given field of view and that's because the focal length of the len...

The impact the sensor size has on the lens

John I see your point but you don't see my point I believe. The lens in this case is 85mm so if the focus distance and the length from the lens to the film keeps the same we can say that the magnification of the lens is the same regardless the crop the film is making. You do agree on the right? ...
