Thanks to Daroni for making some interesting and valid points. However I must take issue with his assertion that "35mm lenses were rarely pushed further to 14x11 prints". Many photographers, both amatuer and professional have produced prints (mainly B&W in my own case) upto 16x20 and above from 35mm for both competition/exhibition and commercial use.

Just out of interest did these questions go to Ricoh/Pentax UK or R/P Europe or R/P Japan? My money's on the UK. When Pentax were based at South Harrow in the 60's-70's you could get technical queries answered over the phone? Further more you could visit their service centre and get some repairs carried out while you waited, or at least within a day or two. When they moved to the Langley office all this stopped. Last August I had a simple question, requiring a yes or no answer, on use of the wireless flash on K3 with twin Af540s. I am still waiting a reply?

Thanks Smudge, for the Amazon heads-up. Just bagged the 15mm/f4 HD Limited for £386. I would have preferred to buy from SRS but got no reply from their price match offer.

Have a look at the Calumet gimbol. They appear on fleabay quite regularly at reasonable prices. Built like a tank and sturdy enough for use with a big lens such as sigma 50-500.

Will Pentax re-introduce software for teathered shooting for the K3. It had various programs for ist & k10 in the past so why none for its flagship K3? Else why not co-operate with Adobe for teathered shooting in Lightroom.
