it was in fact the battery!

unfortunately nothing.

i have just noticed. prior to the incident, the battery appeared to be ok. the red light glowed. after the incident the light is no longer glowing! i changed the battery and still, no red light! very strange!

ok so i have had the camera a day and i think i have already bust it. I have got a warranty, so i am not panicking. however, just on the off chance if anyone knows about this issue, great, i wont have to send it back yadda yadda yadda...


basically.... i wanted to release the shutter without a film loaded, so i did as the manual said by twisting the dial and then closing the back. wound it on and, snaaaaa(no P), the mirror is stuck half way. on inspection the back was not fully closed. now, the mirror it suspended and i cannot release it(or should i say, i dont know how to!). the wind lever is also jammed preventing me from winding it on.

any help would be gratefully received...

hello all.

on my desk sits a recently purchased pentax 6x7 body with the metered prism viewfinder from ebay. now before i go on a hunt for a lush 105mm lens, please could someone just help me to figure out if the metering is functioning ok?? if not i want my money back mr ebayer!

am i correct in saying the needle will not react without a lens fitted in the meter window?! is there anyway to determine if this is functioning without a lens? i am unqualified in the use of medium format to figure out if this the norm!!!

also if anyone know of where i can get a 105 lens, or possibly a 75mm or 90mm
