Was looking at buying my missus a flash for the K100D Super and wondered if the Sunzblitz 888 would work on it. I know that it won't on Canon D-SLR's and was concerned that it would be the same on hers, thanks.

All I have left of the track bike is a frame, some forks and wheels, everything else is now gone (how do you think I can afford a D300 an some lenses LOL) Gonna take the safer option and take pics instead of chewing up rubber on the tarmac

Thanks for you advice. I think this is part of the reason I have a D300 and a few lenses ordered up at the minute but I'd like to add to the Pentax as well. I guess I'll just stick with what I have and keep on shooting.

Hello all. I'm wanting to see if I can get a better motorsport lense for my K100D. At present I have a Tamron 70/300 f/4-5.6Di but it's just lacking in that AF speed and resulting in not so good shots. Any recommendations?

I'm thinking of selling my K100D Super. Bought only 6 month ago and is mint. Just taken over 5000 shots (today infact), comes with kit 18-55 and a Tamron AF 70-300. Is it worth putting the 4GB ScanDisk Ultra II card and re-chargables and charger (that lasts long enough to fill the 4gig card at 6.1 m/p images)

What should I expect to get for said kit. Everything still had it's boxes and wrappers etc. Reason I'm selling is that I'm thinking of buying a D300, Nikon 18-70mm AF-S ED and Sigma 135-400 APO. That kit is over £1500 which I have so the sale of the Pentax is not necessary. So what would I expect to get for my Pentax body and lenses?

The G9 does look like a good package, but way over-priced for what I want. It's a camera that'll be taken on 1,000's of miles mostly in a tail pack on the back of a motorbike, quick and easy to use, will more than likely get dropped a few times, trailed about the garage taking pictures of bike parts, engines etc. Like the pics below (all taken on my deceased A6)

After 3 years of ownership my little Samsung A6 has bit the dust (well, my g/f killed it...) so I'm looking another to replace it. My max budget is about £100 and only have 2 requirements (and they are not strict requirements). I'd like a Li-Ion battery and save to SD. Any ideas.

So, from reading what you are saying I have basically 2 options. Get another 4GB card and always shoot in RAW so that when I do figure out how to use CS2 I can 'mend' some dodgy shots,

or keep shooting in .jpeg until I understand how to use CS2 then look into shooting in RAW.

I guess option 1 is the better of the 2, but for the next short while, I'll continue to shoot in .jpeg format as my results seem to be OK (not good, just OK) but I think I need more practise at riffling off more shots in different scenarios (and not just panning motorsport shots).

Do many folks shoot in RAW or is it just used for certain occassions. I've only ever taken about 20 shots in RAW from about the total 4000 odd shots I've taken. I'm guessing it's probably best for those who know what they are doing in a photo editing suite (which I am really bad at) or am I mistaken? I think my 4GB card will take about 300 or so RAW shots on my K100D, but I'd normally shoot more than 500 at a sporting event so I will either have to buy another card, or just keep shooting at 6MP.

Are there any drawbacks of shooting in RAW as well? Does it slow processing time or anything like that? Thanks in advance for your help, Gareth,

Not at all. Here are 2 non-panned shots I took in the drive-way last week and it has no such problems. I've not tried any panning with the SR off, but it might be worth a try.
