In fact, Arbroath Smokies are made only in Arbroath (or thereabouts). It's an EU-registered designation. For the pedantically minded, both Arbroath and Forfar are in Angus. An equally pedantic observer might wonder if an earlier post referred to Tom Waite the dog trainer or Tom Waits the gravelled-voiced singer. We may never know.

If every Chinese has a lamb roast on Sunday the sheep will be extinct before they become expensive. Lamb mince makes superb Shephard's Pie

I hope that seeing you with a guide dog doesn't put off potential customers.

Of course, you could turn it to your advantage:

Of course the Chinese eggs should only be eaten if they are fresh I was led to believe Balut was an egg containg a chick which had "fermented" in the shell, no mention of boiling, was always promised one by the filipino crew members but it never materialised.

If it runs, walks, crawls, flies or swims, someone somewhere will try and eat it. Remember curry sauce will cover a multitiude of errors

Because of the Global Warming we are only given samples of weather now, it's just unfortunate they seem to consist mainly of Autumn and Winter. It's a good enough reason to try out exotic dishes such as Cullen's Skink. How can something that sounds so revolting be so delicious.
