The second version looks OK, but is the rose a two-toned flower? The inside of the petals looks red, and the outside yellow... the transition between the two colours looks a bit posterised... especially in the second version. Maybe raise the lightness without raising the saturation (somehow)!
This is from the camera before I ruined it
It had better colours 3 days before it started to die and I took photos then completely marmalized it.

Glad to hear I'm not the only one! Arriving at my destination to get the 'No memory card inserted' message is another classic!
Lucky for me I was at home (yesterday) when that happened

Hi Stan, to my eyes the centre/right of the rose could do with brightening a bit, but I would leave the glass as is.

I'm afraid I'm not at all proficient with PS (my copy is PS7) and I've never used Topaz. However Pentaxophile walked me through a sequence in PS which helped me (https://www.pentaxuser.com/forum/topic/today-in-the-sun-30756/p-0)

An attempt to brighten center/right side. Thinks it's "start again"

Thanks Bernard, I'll try and brighten it up although I'm still getting to grips with the essential tools (levels masks etc) in PS. I usually finish up with something from a kiddies colouring book

I know how cold that part of the world can be, especially when the wind is anywhere from the East. I lived in and sailed from Lowestoft/Gt Yarmouth from 1978 until I retired with occasional breaks sailing from Montrose, Aberdeen, and 3 years Dubai so experienced a few extremes Other cold places I've seen include Iceland, Greenland, Jan Mayen, Bear Island and Svalbard. The sun is shining here but it's still a bit parky outside.

It was real food Bernard, a full Christmas dinner

I always try to balance my diet for example I have a cake in each hand and never take an odd amount of biscuits from the tin

Scales are useful for standing on when something is just out of reach but would be too much effort to use steps or a chair to stand on
