What's the "Two Worst Winters" you can remember ever seeing!

Question open to anyone else who goes back a bit
Every winter spent north of the Arctic Circle

What is the difference between hagis ans white pudding?
White Pudding is delicious and can be eaten straight from the shop, haggis is something else

Should see the price of Haggis in West Australia. Major problem getting decent haggis here. Even a pint is nearly seven pounds now.

Hard times........
You can drink a pint of Haggis? With a whisky chaser, I would assume!
a Suntory whisky or perhaps a Sanitory whisky with reference to the taste?

The mystery of the vanishing coffee cup.
I went to pick up my empty espresso cup to take it into the kitchen, but I dropped it. I heard it fall, and it didn't sound to have broken but it fell behind some junk waiting to be sorted.
So I moved the junk, sorting some as I went. No cup. Crawled on hands and knees to see if it had rolled under something. No cup. Moved furniture. No cup.
It has vanished.
Now I know it is small, and made of glass but still I should be able to see it, but I can't. Very very odd.
You will find it as soon as you seriously start looking for something else

I remember my first visit to a fish & chip shop in Aberdeen in the mid 60s.
There was a very large menu board with an array of items, some of which I'd never heard of before. The only item I couldn't see was a mention of fish and I actually had to ask if they sold it with chips
Also took a little while to get used to "supper" being "tea-time"

It's always sad to see the demise of something, but, I can't honestly recall the last time I bought anything with the Kodak name on it. Its rather like the demise of the local shop, everyone moans about it but how many people actually used them apart from the occasional newspaper, and I don't even use our local shop for that now.
