Last year I bought a K7 twin lens kit mail order from Jessops mainly because of the interest free credit arrangement they offered. On a subsequent visit to the Newcastle upon Tyne branch to buy a compact camera the current Pentax models were conspicuous by their absense. Walked out with a nice new Panasonic Lumix. Got RS1000 from a forum member and a RX18 from ASDA special offer Jacobs, on the opposite corner to Jessops don't appear to stock Pentax either so that is two "major" stores not stocking Pentax

And isn't marvelous how many people think it's OK to telephone, text, look at maps etc whilst driving

Liz had over 1000 books (mainly "gifts" on dvd/cd ) but is slowly deleting those she will never read. At present she is firmly hooked to an iPod playing "scrabble" and "hangman" with her friends, so she is not reading as much on the Kindle and is avoiding the iRon as much as possible

Think a kobo/kindle whatever could be useful for downloading "how to's"
when installing software etc. Like the idea of the camera manual stored on it. Wouldn't it be safer keeping passport details etc on a flash drive/sdhc card tucked away somewhere, less of a target for the bad guys.

Converted the wife from an old sony 4mp to a shiny new Lumix. I kept the pentax rs1000 and the rx18 for myself as pics are postable on here Without any artistic talent I doubt my images would look any better even with the most expensive kit, but I do get lucky sometimes and people say nice things about some of them therefore one satisfied pentax user.

Judderman - that post reminded me of Jocky Wilson's funeral service recently. It was a humanist service, and Jocky's friend and MC, Tony Green turned to the assembled mourners and said "let us all sing Hymn number ONNNNE-HUUUUUNNNDRED AND EEEEIIGGGGHTTTTTYY!!".
Being hard of hearing I thought my wife said my brother in law was having a humourous funeral, my wife was horrified when the Lucky the Clown outfit arrived from the hire shop
