My closest LCE in Worcester stopped carrying Pentax equipment a few years ago. My past purchase was the DFA 100 WR. I miss being able to go to a shop.

Wow... I just found out by logging in on here for the first time in ages. This is disappointing given the large communitiez that built up over there. Nothing lasts forever but a lot of my go to websites and communities have been closing down recently. Many have been operating for over 20 years. Guess it is a sign of the times. Read media is trending downward while video seems to be the go to.
Unfortunately, video is a terrible format for a lot of stuff that I look up. It is so much easier to pick out information from a written site than a video.

I've got one, not pristine though. The light window on the top took a bump any years ago and is a little sunk in. I keep it because it was my dad's camera. I'm still not sure if I could part with it, so that may not help.

Used Pentax 18-135mm. Gifted my previous one to my dad for his K70. Now a practically permanent feature on my K-5 as a quick and dirty 'backup' camera or as a light travel setup for my K-3iii.
It may not be the sharpest lens but it is great for day to day and travel, especially if you know and understand its 'limitations' wide open. I quite like the soft corners for portraits or shots where you want focus to really be on the subject itself a a little softer around the edges.

I changed the setting to medium and it was the same, it just didn't take so many shots. It might be that I've just got to get used to an ultra sensitive shutter release button.
The camera did lock up once and I had to remove the battery to get it to turn off and reset it, although the battery was quite low on power as hadn't realised the battery meter was in the red.
The view finder is nice and bright though.
Is the K3 III the all singing all dancing motor sport camera I hoped it would be...my personal opinion is...no it's not, but having said that it was my first time using it so things might change the more I get used to it.

Had a play with my Dad's 55-300 PLM today and I was seriously impressed with the IQ and AF speed on the K-3 iii. Don't really have any impactful images to show right now as it was just around the garden. Need more time but won't have access to that lens again for a while.

Just a great capture. Without the legs it is a really nice pattern and composition. With the legs it is a human moment.

If I'd shot it I would have brought that swan out more in PP by lifting the greys/whites a little bit so they're is greater contrast between it and the water.
