My kit for sale – it is all in excellent, unmarked condition as I am very careful (some say obsessive) with all my kit. Each lens has its original front and rear caps and lens hood. All except the 10-20 are supplied in their original boxes. I have bundled relevant accessories with each item. Needless to say all the lenses are Pentax AF. All prices include Royal Mail Special Delivery Next Day UK. Anyone interested from outside the UK please PM me for a price. Payment preferred by BACS or PayPal.

I have used links for the images to keep costs down for those on mobile broadband.

Samsung GX10 body, with all original accessories plus cable remote, spare battery and 2GB SD extreme 3 memory card. 8180 shutter activations. The mini USB socket on the camera works but seems a bit loose so I have been downloading images using a card reader. £200

I was concerned about the weight of tripods when I bought mine. If it is too heavy there will always be an excuse not to take it with you. I bought a carbon fibre manfrotto and have an empty bag in my pocket. When I set up, if I need more stability, I fill the empty carrier bag with soil/rocks and tie it to the loop near the top of the tripod. It provides the weight and stability, can be emptied and reused.

Thanks for the suggestion but I have had look at those measurements and the lens will be too big.

I second Mike's excellent suggestion. There are some fantastic Adaptall-2 zooms for very little money.

I think most people would suggest you stick with the "SP" designated lenses. Which means Adaptall-2.

Lots of reviews and info here: http://www.adaptall-2.com/

I've got a 80-210 f3.8 which i think is excellent. Sharp throughout, easy to focus. I've also got a 60-300 which is decent but not brilliant. Better range, obviously, but a bit soft at the long end and quite a lot of chromatic abberation.
Thanks I have saved this link and keep referring to it as I wander thro fleabay.

Thanks Mike-P, I have seen an adaptall 28-80 lens which looks good. Would I need to get an adaptall 2 lens or would an adaptall be ok.
Sorry if I sound a bit dim but this is unknown territory for me.

My elderly father is very fond of his camera (I think it is a SP1000) but has been talking about a zoom lens. He does not hold with these modern techy gadgets, but has been muttering about the flexibility of a short zoom lens.
Does anyone have any suggestions for a 28-80ish m42 lens I can get him for christmas?
Oh and is has to be short enough to fit inside his standard stay on case.
Thanks
Julia
