I use photobucket for linking image to this site and tend to use Flickr for what passes as a gallery, it gives me a wider audience. I will probably setup my own site when I feel more comfortable with the quality of my images, not at that stage yet though.

As for facebook, working in IT I spend more time trying to keep people off facebook when they should be working, I'm fighting a loosing battle on that one.

Gartmore's advice is spot on, have a look at the Pentax Gallery link he has given, and see what really catches your attention and maybe emotionally connect with. Your profile says that you are into soccer & rugby maybe these shots by one of our members may inspire you link

Hi & welcome, I started with film, although I mainly shoot digital now due to cost but love the lustre of film, it's an art form in its self.

As for drooling over other brands, they all have benefits and disadvantages depending on the type of photography that takes your interest. The important fact is don't get distracted by the brand, what matters is the end result and that means you honing your skill as a photographer. If you have any questions about anything just dive in, create a thread and ask, you will get bombarded with so much help, then start uploading some of your shots and get people to comment on them, unfortunately you will need access to a scanner for you film shots though.

I'm not sure how old you are, but it might be worth keeping an eye out for a local school/collage arts or photography group.

If it starts raining up there it could turn to snow.
Could be all weather systems at once with the exception of sunshine.

Maybe a fifth coup of coffee would help

A great set of images David, number one has that special something about it that keeps pulling me back to it. They are all interesting and strong compositions IMO.

It's raining in Edinburgh and the mornings are starting to get darker. That's so depressing. Anyone fancy a meet in Fiji?
