On a sad note, I, along with all but one of the other council employees in Bradford have been issued with a 188 notice.

That means that in 90 days I could be out of a job, still it'll give me more time to take photos.

Not good news, this has happened to me twice in two decades so my heart goes out to you , you had better start stocking up the drinks cabinet in case the well goes dry.

Last year I ended up abandoning my car several times and trudging four miles to get into work, still managed to get some very snowy photos as a result. I already have in the boot:

Walking Boots
Sleeping bag
Water Proof trousers
Raincoat
Head torch
Soup
Stove
Shovel
old bit of carpet to stick under the wheels

I think that makes me a pessimist

Where I work, we get snow before most of northern England, a dusting today!!!!! looks like it is going to be a long winter, do Pentax make snow shoes ?

I have had a K7 for quite a while now and cannot fault the quality in any way, I have only one gripe and that is the slow focusing. I found my the initial kit lens a little soft but very tolerable although not in the same class as the 16-45 that I now have. Do you save your images as JPEG or RAW? You will find quite a difference between the two formats straight out of the camera.
