Well the tinnitus has just about settle down after rediscovering my youth last night, grabbed the best spot front of stage at the Steve Hackett concert, a great combination of new stuff and classic Genesis songs, and it was well worth going to see Nick Beggs playing the Chapman Stick link although I did not realise you could take cameras in . On the way home we had snow blasting in from the sea combined with the strangest lighting storm I have ever seen.

Most people upload images from Photobucket or Flickr rather than from the site gallery. I believe the site gallery was to show off your best work, although I could be way off on that one. To display your images from the pentaxuser gallery, click on the image in the gallery so that is is displayed in its large format, then right-hand click on the image, if you have internet explorer select "copy url" or in firefox select "copy image location", then create your subject post, select the image button and then past the link you have copied between the two "[img]" tags. It is always worthwhile previewing the image just to make sure that all is well. Hope this helps and makes sense.

Well all I can say for the poorly derided K-7 is that I upgraded from a K10 and the quality of my images improved at the same time. I think this was mainly due to the improved viewfinder and greatly improved digital display allowing me to frame shots better. I remember being impressed with the speed improvements and reduced noise also. The only complaints I had at the time were the changes to memory card slot and the spot focus control. I am still generally quite happy with it although I must admit to a tinge of jealousy to all those K5 owners. I do have one current gripe and that is since loading the latest firmware lenses have to hunt more when focusing close up to the lens and on high key subjects.

My wife was supposed to go and see Michael Collins (clarinettist) play last night, cancelled due to snow, I'm supposed to go and see Steve Hackett (Genesis Guitarist)in Gateshead tonight and the car is buried under six inches of snow this morning.

Have spent a great day wandering in the snow, currently four inches. I am now going to settle down with something spicy and a bottle of Hobgoblin.

You think that's bad, have you tried orange and weetabix wine?

It was, shall we say, different!

Bl**dy good at removing rust from the bikes exhaust though.
In all the bizarre home wine making concoctions I produced in the 80's the thought of shoving Weetabix in wine somehow did not occur, nor did it appear in my Boots Home made Wine book.

My most memorable vintage was the exploding blackberry and apple, our cats developed a strange nervous disposition and were the colour of blackcurrant cordial for a while
