It's a great lens and it will be missed. But I need to switch to another brand with pro services and better results at high iso.

I have a Pentax A manual 100mm f:4 macro. not 2.8 but a Pentax...

I had the first one for sale (28-70mm)for a while on this very forum. 50-135mm is much better according to me than any of the 80-200mm I've tried.It's also much lighter. Now you want to cover that range, get a 60-250mm.Don't need 2.8 since you're using a flash...
The money you'd spend to get thos two lenses would be a fraction of the price of a total switch to Nikon...

The only reason why you should switch is because your current set up doesn't allow you to take the pictures you want/need. And that you know it from experience.
I've been selling pictures for a while, gear was never an issue, until that night when I tried another brand, got this :

that could have by no means been taken with a Pentax setup at 5000 iso f:4 and took the decision to switch.
Before that, I could only assume but had no hands-on experience. Now I know, hence my selling my gear. I know what I need, and know I won't get it form Pentax,though I love the colors and the look and feel of their gear.
