Methinks the green eyed monster is at work here.
I could afford them all ! but if that's the best I could do with them !?
What's the point !

Sigh ...
Obviously the K-5 is better than the K-7 ... whether its worth double the price to most people is debatable at best, only they can answer that question.
Is the K-7 capable of taking great pictures .. yes it is.

Judging by that lens line-up, you've also got bags of money !?
So the few 'extra pennies' won't be felt ! some of us are less lucky, so the K7 may be a better buy
I was just adding what my thoughts are between the two and I think the K-5 is better in IQ than the K-7.
If I had that money then a K-5 would be mandatory, maybe 2 !?
But back to reality some of us have to balance the pennies, as u put it, and that's what we were discussing

I've got a K-5 and a K-7 as back-up and having used the K-5 since January I will probably in the near future sell the K-7 as in my opinion there is a big difference in IQ, I've found there is much more detail with the K-5 and images with high ISO's are much improved.
I am very pleased with the results from the K-5 so far and is worth the extra pennies

Also, if you are still a student then you can get very good discounts on Lightroom for your raw processing. I'm not sure about the Italian price, but for the UK education store it's just over £60. That's a LOT of software for the price!

Grips are like Marmite - you either love 'em or hate 'em. Personally I think they make the balance of the body better. And I like the insurance that they hold a spare card. Having a second battery on line will aid when access to a charger is fraught.
Steve
I do a fair bit of walking and I carry spare cards and batteries in my camera bag, so no problem there, unfortunately the camera with grip won't fit in my small bag (too wide) so another reason not to use one
Thanks all for your comments

. . . and I'm unable to use a tripod without removing the grip
The grip has the same threaded tripod mount that the camera does, which should not prevent the use of a tripod at all.
For some reason I completely missed that !? How odd !!

I tried one on my K10 and found it heavy, awkward and cumbersome ! even for portrait shots it seems awkward !?
I can always keep a spare battery in my camera bag, and I'm unable to use a tripod without removing the grip !
So am I missing something ?? :

I have to balance the pennies. I've had to endure a massive amount of Ebay selling to fund my camera gear.
