All LCE branches stock the Pentax system and we have PRO centres at Bath, Bristol, Chesterfield, Cheltenham, Derby, Leamington, London (Strand), Lincoln, Manchester, Nottingham, Plymouth, Portsmouth and Winchester. Here in Bath we operate the on-line store and try to keep an extended range of cameras, lenses & accessories.

ikill, yes I have (am) considering the 150-500 (its mentioned in my first post). It was this review that put me off a bit.
I suppose one shouldn't expect too much against a lens of this price but the Sigma did fall off quite a bit in the 400-500 range and its in this area that I would buy it for i guess, maybe I should get the 100-33 and TC. I would add a decent 500 prime if there were any.

I really would like to try my hand at some wildlife photography and whilst 300mm or 420 with TC may leave me a bit short I suppose I can always move up if I find I wish to go further with it.
I like the reports on the 300 but I think the flexibility of the Zoom will win me over.

I cannot find a decent review anywhere and am considering it as an alternative to buying the Bigma or perhaps the 150-500?

Just ordered the Pentax 50-135 and the Sigma 100-300 and a new tripod as well as associated parafanalia so thats going to dent the bank balance.
That should be me setup for a while I hope now, well at least until I decide to get into Macro, or maybe when the 60-250 comes out
