Well I've bought the attachment lens - and without breaking the bank. Now need to get it altered to act as a front filter. Any ideas? Now need to take out the lens glass and replace it with a filter glass made to suit the dia. Does anyone know who does that sort of thing? Best regards.

Hi, sorry for delay in posting a reply to the earlier responses. Yes the 135-600 lens takes rear mounted filters. I already have an attachment lens but was considering buying another and converting it to a filter as a means of protecting the front lens. Does any one know who might do this sort of work? Many thanks.

The Pentax F6.7 135-600 lens has a sliding lens hood. A filter cannot be fitted to the lens because the hood extends past the threads and it ID of the hood is less than the OD of the filters that I have tried. The lens does take an attachment lens for close ups and I have the chance to buy a second hand attachment lens. I thought I might take out the lens from the attachment lens and replace it with a UV filter. Does this sound feasible? Does anyone know who might do the job? Is there an alternative? Many thanks.

My ist DS seems to use a lot of batteries. Does anyone know whether this is normal or do you think there is a fault.

I've just acquired a 67 II and I'm trying to get familiar with the operations. The Shutter Speed Dial will operate and rotated without depressing the lock button - is this normal or is there a problem. Any help appreciated. Steve.
