I have acquired a new K7 which I have posted here for sale (with no interest to date).

I am an Olympus user with an E5, E 620 and mainly use their 12-60, 50-200 and 50mm macro lenses although I have kit lenses and a longer zoom available.

I love the image quality and sharpness of these lenses but the spec of the Oly bodies is looking long in the tooth so I am considering keeping the K7 and buying a K5 to go alongside it.

Can anyone offer any advice on lenses to match the IQ of the High grade Oly lenses mentioned above?

I am trying to weigh up whether a switch is viable IQ and ££ wise.

Hi Colin,

Don't tell anyone on the Oly forum I was thinking of jumping ship to Pentax, I'll be ostracised!

I have an ex-demo K-7 complete with 18-55mm lens and all accessories for sale, I am asking £475 ovno plus delivery at cost.

I acquired this camera from the recent Jacobs bankruptcy auction but I have decided to stick with my Olympus set up as I have too much invested in Oly lenses etc.

The camera is as new and in perfect condition, apparently the ex demo items may have been on display in a shop but that is it, they are unused.

I realise it could be considered "bad form" to join a forum simply to sell an item but this seemed the logical place to offer it before resorting to the dreaded fleabay.

My ebay id is thesponners and I am an active user on the Olympus E system user group forum under the same user name as here.

The camera is available to view/collect in North Staffordshire.

Thanks

Sponner.

p.s. if anyone wants pics of the camera that can be arranged.
