The Porst is a different lens to the Cosina/Revuenon
+1 (although I believe it was actually made by Cosina, confusingly)

I used to have a Porst 55/1.2 and did a bit of research into it at the time.

The M42 Cosina-badged 55/1.2 lens was designed by Tomioka and uses a different optical scheme to the Porst (which was also manufactured by Cosina)

There is a more detailed writeup here

In any case, the Porst is not a bad lens - best of luck with the sale.

Apologies - I've been off line for a couple of days due to unexpected work commitments earlier this week.

I thought I did something wrong with the PMs.
The forum message system is a bit strange, but you can tell if someone's read your message because it moves from the outbox to the sentbox folder. I only picked yours up this evening,

Here are a couple more quick photos as requested, showing the serial number and front/rear optics.

Leaving aside the SDM/HSM debate, for screw drive lenses, I've found that lenses with a short focus throw are quickest to focus on my K-5.

From the lenses I've got around that range, my Pentax 18-250 is very quick to focus and has surprisingly good IQ. I've also got a Tamron 28-105 that is pretty quick to focus (and has also been sold in Pentax-branded form, I believe).

The DA70 may be a bit longer than you'd like, but AF works fast and also well in low light. I really like mine for candid portraits of my kids.

Just thought I'd chuck in another suggestion - I have had great success chasing my 18 month old around with a Tamron 17-50 f2.8
+1, I've also found the Tamron 17-50 very effective for chasing my kids.
