Bought some time ago from the other forum, later acquired revuenon, witch I prefer, time to let this one go.
Good condition, very minor use marks on lens body, glass very good, dust spot or two, really few.

I've got the same lens and I'm surprised to see it going so cheap

Almost certainly a re-badged Cosina in a K mount, which means you don't
need the M42 converter. If it's the same as mine the f stops are full
stops (no half stops) and there isn't a stop between f/1.2 and f/2
although I have heard of people cutting an extra notch.

Bargain at the price

The Porst is a different lens to the Cosina/Revuenon, but also has superb rendering. And this does seem very cheap for such a great lens ! You can find an excellent discussion on the differences between Cosina/Revuenon and the Porst on MFlenses.

This lens was probably part of the camera kit
PORST compact reflex OC 1,2. Cost 899DM in 1977
The camera was made by Cosina and it's very unlikely
that the lens would have been made by anyone else
as late as 1977 although we can't be certain that
it is the same lens.

This site belongs to a major Porst collector.

Porst were at one time the biggest camera retailer in the world,
similar to Dixons/Jessops.

+1 (although I believe it was actually made by Cosina, confusingly)

I used to have a Porst 55/1.2 and did a bit of research into it at the time.

The M42 Cosina-badged 55/1.2 lens was designed by Tomioka and uses a different optical scheme to the Porst (which was also manufactured by Cosina)

There is a more detailed writeup here

In any case, the Porst is not a bad lens - best of luck with the sale.

thanks for all the info and for keeping thread alive
your link, algi, is to a different lens. revuenon/cosina/tomioka/vivitar is not the same lens as this one. they are both very good, but the rendering differs a bit.
still for sale.

Jane71, it might be worth your while to offer an escrow service, to reassure potential buyers who might be concerned about buying from Slovenia.

I have the Pentax 1:1.2 and the 31mm, so I am afraid I am not in the market, but good luck.

thanks for advice. sold things here before, more expensive.
it would be possible to go through ebay as well, if security is in question. you can check my feedback, also on other us pentax forum.
but i can understand the concerns.
