Can I paste a BB code from Flickr in a post to embed an image???? Just tried and isn't working, maybe I'm not doing it right????

I've been pondering and salivating over the HD - D FA* 70-200mm f/2.8 ED DC For several months now. Finally saved my pennies (and dollars) until I could get one, just came in last week. The weather has been so crappy that I haven't ventured out much, to try it out.

My initial reaction on receiving was OMG IT'S REALLY BIG AND HEAVY. I'd read the reviews that all said this, but looking at a picture, and seeing it up close in hand is a whole different experience. It literally dwarfs the K1MII. I only ventured out to snap a couple test shots to verify all was good. Looks to be sharp even wide open. Focus acquisition is fast and quiet. Colors seem to really pop. One thing that I don't know if it was a fluke or there's an issue, but I had some CA on a couple shots. Hopefully the weather will warm up enough that I can get out this week for some more thorough testing.

New member here. First started with Pentax in the late 60's. Pretty much took a hiatus from all things photography from late 80's when my career path changed, to a little over 5 years ago when youngest granddaughter was born. From that first smile it was evident that she was going to be a natural model, and Papa needed to ramp up his skill set.

Current gear is a K1MII, K3II and a mixture of glass for both. My 1st love is studio, having converted one bay of a garage into a multipurpose space. I use Paul Buff Alien Bees and the Cybercommander for lighting. Last year was supposed to be my break out year on portraiture. I had several projects lined up from a Firefighter series for a calendar to several glamour shoots. Got a good start on the Firefighters series and then the pandemic hit so basically it all came to a screeching halt. I shoot landscape on occasion, but my heart isn't in it and it shows. So for the past several months I've mainly practiced and experimented with techniques and post processing skills.
