As happy as I am with Pentax DSLRs I think this says more about the abilities of your sister-in-law than the brand of camera she's using - glad she's enjoying herself though

There really is some terrific photographers around but one thing to remember in the digital age is that what you see is not always what they saw!!

What I'm getting at is that some photographers now spend more time processing their images than they do taking them and I think it's a reality that if you want to compete with the best then you need good PP skills too, this is an area where I'm happy to concede that I'm not great at and because I'm also non too keen on spending loads of time processing shots I'm resigned to the fact I'll probably never achieve the results that some of the best out there do.

The Kata looks a decent option too, similiar size - what I really like about the Lowepro though is this side pocket for the camera (apologies for the poor photo quality).

I've been looking for some while now for a "day-bag" which doesn't shout camera bag, isn't too heavy and has quick access to the camera body.

Well I think I may just have found the ideal bag for my needs - the Lowepro Compuday photo 250, I bought it from SRS last week and I'm very pleased with it. It doesn't have the traditional padded camera section but has a unique access flap together with loads of pockets and a reasonable amount of personal storage space - it's very light and very discrete, especially with the Lowepro badges removed. The access flap even fits my K5 with 12-24 attached together with the pretty sizeable lens hood, the first bag I've had that managed it.

If you're looking for a small backpack when out & about definitely make sure you give this one a look!!

I suppose if it's off you could allow for it and instead of 1 dot showing set it to 2 or 3 dots whichever is correct.
Good idea - just checked mine, it's actually level when showing 3 bars to the left in the viewfinder, now noted for future use!!

I posted a thread a week or two ago having made the same observation, unfortunately there's no way to calibrate it yourself. Whilst it isn't 100% accurate I still find it useful when taking shots using a monopod as sometimes I'm way off level - not any longer. When I'm using the tripod though I'll still use the old-fashioned way, a hotshoe bubble

I'm selling my FA50mm 1.4 in excellent condition.

Unfortunately I don't have the original box but will send it with the Lowepro 1M case I store it in, also supplied with a collapsible rubber hood.

Any questions please PM me

I'm asking £220 include RMSD
