Fabulous shot, John. High-grade fog, wonderfully captured.

I remember that day well. The meeting was abandoned with several races to go because the circuit's back straight was beginning to ice up... Nice, crisp shot.

Very nice, Simon, but it can't be Maldonado: all four wheels are on the track...

Nice shot, David. I've seen plenty of bullfinches, but none has ever been remotely close to photographic range. I probably need to move back to South Yorkshire...

Lovely angle, Simon. Is that from the 'Ring? It looks as though it could be the final, uphill right-hander, but there aren't many locational clues. Given the subject (and open-face helmet), it might convert nicely to mono.

Very nice, Simon. Looks as though the light was fairly poor, but that's a strong image.

Nice shot of a 36-year-old classic that still looks contemporary. If you wind the clock back 36 years from the time of the M1's launch, you'd be in 1942... They tend to be fairly reliable when it comes to belching out flame on the over-run, too, but would be perfectly photogenic without such a trait.

Nice shot, Simon. Were there any other spectators there apart from you? I haven't been since the Champ Cars came over 14 years ago - an omission I need to rectify - but it always looks fairly empty on TV.

Nicely timed, Simon. A wonderful slice of 1977 motorsport culture.

Peeped at the gallery thumbnails and didn't bother checking to see who'd taken this... I know nature contributed some useful colours, but the composition and execution are simply superb. Suspect I won't capture anything quite as stylish at Silverstone this weekend. Great work, Jim.
