You might struggle, Vic (especially in Korea, which is not on my scaled-down itinerary this year). Japan is next on the schedule.

I have been spotted from time to time, but generally try to avoid the TV crews. For one thing, they occupy a fair bit of space and get in the way when you're trying to take a few snaps.

I won't pretend, though, that members of the press don't sometimes loiter deliberately in the TV cameras' firing line. They shall remain nameless...

Number 5 (di Resta?)
It's Adrian Sutil. Ted. The clue is the yellow camera housing at the top of the air intake. In each team the car with the lower race number (14 and 15 for Force India) has a black shroud, while the higher one has yellow.

The Singapore Grand Prix has an evening schedule - and a primary benefit is the opportunity to snoop around the city during the day. So... UK residents will be aware that our zoos' free-ranging residents tend to be limited to deer, peacocks and the occasional capybara.

In Singapore they have lemurs and orangutans...

Thanks, all.

Paul, I concur that Webber should have the focus in shot #2 - he was meant to be! Grid access is ever a privilege, but it's a complete zoo and you have to grab what you can between mechanics' heads, celebrity entourages and so on (although it's quite easy to shoot over the top of Bernie Ecclestone). I thought I was aiming at Mark, but obviously didn't have him quite centred. I tried sharpening him in PP, without much success, but still quite liked his expression.

And talking of zoos, a separate Singapore thread will follow in due course...

Love the low-speed waltzer shots. You've also managed to make East Croydon look less ghastly than the daily reality - something with which I'm all too familiar.

The best PP software for East Croydon is probably Adobe Bulldozer 4...

When you mentioned you'd been at Spa, I imagined you'd be flying into Manchester on Sunday evening, not driving back. Thinking about it makes me tired.
It's not too bad, Mike - and a lot easier than sorting out flights to multiple destinations/hire cars etc. The Belgian GP and Gold Cup have clashed on four occasions in the past five seasons and I've made the journey each time. It now feels vaguely normal...

I didn't want to litter Mike Edwards' excellent OPGC thread with my nonsense, so here's an alternative perspective. Having spent Thursday-Sunday working at Spa-Francorchamps, I drove through the night from southern Belgium to north-west England and managed to sleep for about 80 minutes. Next stop: the Oulton Park paddock café. I now feel quite tired, for some reason...

Nice work, Mike.

I have about 600 to sift through from Monday... but first need to finish sorting out my Belgian GP shots. I seem to be drowning in jpegs.
