Does what it says on the tin, a bit like last Monday's strangely similar thread. Taken with K-5 IIs and Sigma 100-300mm f4, except for #6 (K-3, Sigma 50-150). I promise not to post a Brands Hatch album next week, but can't guarantee the same about Goodwood...

1 - There were probably more riders than there were spectators


2 - Horrible conditions for photography...


3 - ...but even less suitable for racing on two wheels


4 - That said, #38 pulled off save of the season and didn't actually tumble


5 - There is a rule about not playing the recorder while racing a Yamaha, but it isn't strictly enforced


6 - The Formula One paddock would be a much better place if it looked like this. And credit to the bloke in shorts: the temperature was barely into single figures


7 - Time to go home...

Some very nice stuff there, Alistair - and converting the Chevette to mono seems somehow appropriate. I attempted to cover a Brands Hatch meeting in this manner yesterday, concentrating on the paddock for a fair while before heading trackside, but the weather was crap and almost everybody was hidden away behind closed awnings.

I always enjoy your street portraits and look forward to seeing more of your motorsport shots during the year.

7 - Last year's model, Kelsey Park. With the breeding season looming it won't be long before its parents start trying to chase it away, which might just come as a bit of a surprise (K-3, DA 300)


8 - Possibly not avian. Butter failing to melt in Blackpool Zoo (K-3, DA 300)

I've used amazon.fr many times and the service is fine. They supplied my K-3. As with any lightning deals, they have limited stocks at the reduced price: once they're gone, that's it (although the offers are often repeated from time to time). I've seen some deals end within a minute or two of going live, while others remain open for several hours.
