CS2 is as old as you can go and have the Raw Converter open PEF files. I would suggest getting Elements, works in a similar way to the full version only it doesn't have curves or Layer Masks, but there is a workaround for Layer Masks.

I have used Pentax since my first Spotmatic in 1964, had such a collection of lenses it was a no brainer when Pentax finally got around to making a digital camera.

The day Pentax makes batteries is the day I buy a Pentax battery. Buying a manufacturers brand of battery is no guarantee, look at the Sony laptop battery fiasco.

The chap that owns the Trading Estate where I used to work has the number plate TOP 10 on one of his Rollers. DLT once offered him £100,000.00 for it and he refused the offer.

The only time I ever lost pictures is when they were stored on CD. Sony and Memorex were the culprits. I store everything on a raid array now.

The only time I have ever lost pictures is when I stored them on CD, I now store mine on hard drives. These weren't cheap CD's Sony, Yamaha and now Memorex have all let me down.

Ok it's from China and you have to wait about 10 days or so, but it works great, has half press for focusing and 'B' setting. No delay and it's cheap.

Chris
What sort of range do you get with that?
It's about 100 Meters as they say Stevo. I just tested it from the top of my garden to the road with the house in between about 70 - 80 Mts and it still works. Batteries aren't new either had it about 6 months and use it all the time.

Can't you just pull up an Adjustment Layer and use the mask on that?

Before you can take good photographs you have to know what makes a good photograph, go to galleries, libraries, even magazines some of the most creative photography is in advertising.

When you see something you like, just keep it in mind for when your in a similar situation, then copy it ruthlessly.

This site is full of 'good' (actually better than good) photographs and is a starting point. Notice how many have people in them.

After a while you get so many ideas in your head that there is hardly any situation that doesn't excite you into taking pictures.

The best pictures tend to start with an idea inside your head, most people do it the opposite way round, they react to what they see, so their pictures have no purpose.
