My first SLR was a Sotmatic F. I still have it, would never sell it and use it regularly. My wife made me pack up smoking before I could buy it and I am so glad that I did. I have since amassed just about all models of the Spotmatic range right up to the ESII. Not only are they lovely cameras to use they are beautiful to look at.

This is a lovely shot. I tried so hard to do a picture like this when my dog was alive. I would hose him down in the evening sun and he would stand and look at me like a drowned rat as if to say "what the bloody hell do you think you are doing to me!"

A subject like this is an absolute gift to a photographer, nicely done Andrew as always.
I would like to have a root around inside that place, it must be full of interest, might even be a few treasures!

I always carry a film camera in my bag, either an Me super, an ES, an ES11 or an SPF. I love them.
I like the look of them, the feel of them and the results they give.
But they will never replace digital!

Sad news indeed!
Until a few years ago, I lived just a couple of miles from the R.L. shop and I remember SRS taking over the business from an equally genuine photographic company called Sullivan Brothers, who were well respected and had traded in Rayners Lane for many years.
I sincerely hope that the savings made by closing the R.L. shop will enable SRS to continue trading profitably from their Watford branch for many years to come.

I have used an OHNAR slide duplicator on many cameras since buying it in the mid seventies, it uses a T2 mount. It works well on my K10d-quick and easy. I believe you can still buy them new and of I have seen them on ebay from time to time. Originally they were used to copy slides to print film, or to correct slight errors like straighten horizons etc.
Simple but effective.

Hi Cedric, I have a Tamron 18-250 on my K10D and I am really pleased with it. There do not seem to be any issues of soft or unsharp focus.
