Married, one son, live in Leeds. Unfortunately unemployed at the moment due to the onset of arthritis, but looking to rectify this as soon as possible...there's only so much daytime TV you can watch!
Had an interest in photography since school. Started work as an assistant with a small commercial photography firm at 16, the usual weddings, portraits, some press work. Unfortunately, the firm's owner had to retire due to Parkinsons' when I was 18, and although I had plenty of practical experience had no qualifications, so found it impossible to find work in photography. Kept an interest though. My first camera was a Praktica MTL5, built like a tank but pretty basic. Graduated to a Ricoh KR10 Super for a couple of years and then moved on to my then dream camera..Pentax MX which I still have. Still love it, it really is a work of art a beautiful piece of kit. After I got married photography seemed to get pushed to one side, however since my enforced absence from work I've got the bug again. Now have a K10d, and it's great. Love being able to use some of my old lenses and I'm slowly trying to get my head round photo editing (I'm using Paint Shop Pro X2), but I'm only scratching the surface at the moment. Looking forward to viewing other members work, and hopefully picking up some tips, your'e never too old to learn!
