if you want to freeze action at night, you only have two options
1) Higher ISO
2) use a Flash
You'll need to get your shutter speeds up above 1/100th of a second (or higher if the subjects are doing anything faster than just walking past and waving).
In that situation I would tend to select TAv mode, pick the aperture/shutter combo I want and let the camera deal with the ISO. Keep in mind though that even the K20D doesn't have a huge amount of latitude in ISO steps so you'll want to be ready to adjust shutter and aperture to keep ISO in a sensible range.
My night shooting sample at below.. please advise, thanks

Well - If you shoot night scenes with 1/250 I would recon the shot to be all black.
What you need to do is use Av (Aperture mode) and set the camera to f4-f11 depending on you DOF (how much of the frame do you want in focus?).
After that - the camera will decide the shutterspeed.
Use a low iso.
You will probably notice that the shutterspeed will be anything from a few seconds to a few minutes = use a tripod and if you have - a remote to avoid any shake.
I hope that helps.

I usually shoot around 1/250 @ F/11) and an average night? So far I've been guessing as far as what settings to use..
Anyone share with me what do you use F/ for the Night Images ?
Thank you
